The EC-5T PUMP i BOUGHT FROM EATON HAS BEEN FLAWLESS IN THE PAST 5 YEARS i’VE OWNED IT, GREAT QUALITY AND QUIETER THAN ANY OTHER BY COMPARISON. FILLS MY 60 GALLON TANK IN LESS THAN 2 MINUTES TO 175 LBS. GREAT PUMP IF I NEED ANOTHER ONE I WILL DEFINITELY GIVE THEM A CALL AGAIN

I bought this pump from Eaton with an 80 Gallon tank over 12 years ago. I don’t use it daily, but run it a fair bit. I change semi tires myself not only airing them up from 0 psi, but running a 1" impact to get them on and off the truck. I’ve literally done 18 in session: Dismount, R&R tire and remount. Compressor never skips a beat. I also use it for every other repair in the shop; mostly on snowplows and 3/4 ton diesels. This thing is a beast. I also live at 10,200 feet, making O2 hard to come by, and ANY type of equipment runs harder and hotter. All I’ve done is change the oil and replaced the unloaders once. Buy it. It’s impressive and reliable as hell! The folks at Eaton were also AWESOME to work with and have always proven helpful if I ever had any questions or needed anything. Only reason I even came back to the website or contacted them after 10 years was to buy oil!!!

I bought this in June 2016 and am very happy with the pump. Customer service was very helpful and knowledgeable. The pump runs so much quieter than the one it replaced. I would buy it again if I needed one.

I bought one of these pumps in 2012 put it in my shop, I have a 10 horse v 4 cylinder compressor at the house, the pump is a Polar pump. I was going to switch air compressors. But the 5 horse did better than I expected and supplied enough air for my shop so I never switched them. If had known the 5 horse would put out that much air, I would have made the 10 horse a 5 horse. By the way the 10 horse with a 120 gallon tank that is empty will pump up to 180 pounds of air pressure in 5 1/2 minnuts, I thought that was very impressive.

Our work had a simple raffle for old equipment being replaced, one peice was a horizontal commercial air compressor, good appearance but tired. Par for the course I didn’t win, but told the fella if he ever wanted to rid himself of it call me. Six months later I get a ring, now its here in my new garage. Motor was a 3 phase so bought a Baldor motor, also ordered a 7.5 hp 3 cylinder from Eaton, runs quiet, and produces absolute gobs of air. Have an old 60 gallon compressor from a Tennessee manufacturer, I think the pump came from over the water because its toast already.. Will be ordering a new 5 hp vertical replacement pump for it in the near future. All manufacturers in the United States could definitely learn how to treat customers, these Eaton people wrote the book on customer service, bar none.

Purchased a few of these units about five years back. They are a bolt-in replacement for the Champion R15 pump if your customer is on a tight budget. They are a good running pump, well built and carry a fair price. They do tend to leak a bit of oil and are very hard on air filters if you use the head unloaders. Having said that they are still one of the best replacement pumps out there.
