Our Freight Train Industrial series offers all the same quality and durability as our plus series without all the extra cost of added features. We offer this series so that anyone can afford to have a compressor built with the superior quality that EATON COMPRESSOR stands for. This unit features our low RPM pumps and delivers 31CFM @ 100 PSI.
At the core of our 7.5hp 2 Stage Freight Train compressors is our pump. These pumps are SUPER quiet in operation and built to last! We start with a solid cast iron crankcase. Unlike some competitor’s aluminum body crankcases – our solid cast iron crankcase will ensure stable crankshaft alignment and will handle more workload under heavy load conditions.
This unit has a prewired magnetic starter and pressure switch. Top quality pressure switches with an adjustable screw which allows you to adjust your pressure higher or lower.

CONTROLS & COMPONENTS Freight Train by Eaton Compressor use only top-quality components on our compressors.
100% brass check valves with Teflon Seating. All check valves on our compressors are all brass with a Teflon seating. This reduces tank noise when the compressor is running because the Teflon seating is much quieter than other materials and insulates noise when valves are opening and closing during the compression stage.
100% brass ASME safety valves. For your safety all safety valves are 100% brass and comply to ASME code. Valves are preset and sealed for correct settings. If your compressor would not turn off, our safety valves open keeping compressor from building too high of a pressure level in the tank. This will help to avoid the potential of tank rupture.
Top quality plumbing fittings are used to maintain proper sealing when connected to the tank.
High quality 100% brass ball valves are used for turning air on and off from the air receiver.
Extended tank water drainpipe plumbed out the front of the unit with a ¼” ball valve handle for easy tank draining. Eliminates the hassle of draining the tank with the typical petcock style drain under the tank.
MOTOR PULLEY AND BELTS We use taper lock style 2-groove pulleys. We also use dual 2-groove, B-Style belts to drive our pumps. This combination is the best for several reasons. First, dual belts ensure long belt life and yield low vibration which makes for smoother, quieter operation because the dual belts do not have to be as tight as with a single belt setup. The tighter the belts (as with a single belt setup) the more load on the compressor pump and motor bearings which decreases the life of both. Second, our taper lock pulleys are much better than a fixed bore pulley with a set screw. A taper lock design will lock the pulley in position to the motor shaft allowing it not to loosen or move on the motor shaft. -

Compressor I have a plasma table that likes to consume a lot of air I have tried several Compressors that could not keep up with the volume of air the plasma needed so I started to look around for a new compressor I looked at a lot of companies before I decided to go with the Eaton after all the research I choose Eaton due to the reviews on warranty, service and overall customer satisfaction well here is my conclusion I have not had any problems with not having enough volume of air it keeps up with all my shop tools grinders sanders and most importantly my plasma table The sound coming out of the compressor when it is running is very quiet compared to the other Compressors I have used in the past I can talk to someone when it is running and I’m not yelling .

I just bought a Vapor Honing cabinet and I needed a larger compressor to supply the air. The Vapor Honing company recommended the 7.5hp Freight Train, so that is what I bought. I dealt with Eaton directly. They were very easy to work with, the compressor arrived in a few days. I unloaded it and installed it in my shop, and connected it to my VH cabinet. Today…I vapor honed all day……The Eaton Freight Train 7.5 worked great. It was quieter than I expected which is a great thing, and my air pressure never dropped below 100psi, with continuous vapor honing. I am very pleased with Eaton, and highly recommend.
I have owned 3 automotive repair shops in my 23 years of business, I can say without a doubt this compressor is by far the most efficient I have ever owned. It runs on a low rpm and fills up from empty to full in 3 to 4 minutes. I can literally lean on it and have a conversation on the phone while it’s running, that’s how quiet it is. SIMPLY AMAZING!!
