Operation

A dual timer electric auto drain is a device designed to expel moisture and water from the air receiver tank.

Interval Setting Feature

It has an adjustable interval setting feature that allows you to set the device from 1 to 45-minute drain cycles. You can also set the timing of how long you want the drain to stay open.

This provides up to 90% energy savings over a fixed speed compressor.

Operation

Variable speed is also available while the unit is in pumping mode after reaching the full start up speed. A pressure transducer is mounted inside the air system and is connected to the PLC. The PLC is connected to the variable speed drive.

Smart Air

Variable frequency/variable speed drives vary the speed of the motor under start up.

Digital PSI Settings

When the pressure (PSI) range is digitally set by the user and when the low target pressure is met, for every PSI pound that increases above the low target PSI, it will cause the pump speed to slow down. For every PSI decrease, the pump speed will increase giving the customer precise on demand energy savings.

Air End

Operation

Rotary Air ends are devices that compress air. Air ends consist of an oil injected male and female rotor. These air ends are engineered for up to 100% duty cycle and are relatively quiet with life expectations up to 150,000 hours.

Continuous Airflow

Rotary Screw air ends are designed to produce continuous, steady airflow. Using this ultimate design criterion, screw air ends are great for applications where consistent airflow is a must, for example in industrial plants and operations.

Reliability and Durability

Screw Air Ends are reliable and durable even in harsh conditions. For example, mining and construction rigs (as well as firefighting equipment manufacturers) choose rotary screw air ends due to their reliability and durability.

150 PSI Maximum

By using oil injected rotary screw air ends, you can economically achieve 150 PSI maximum. If higher pressures are required, multi-stage reciprocating (pistons) are needed.

Fan

Dryer Fans

Dryer Fans are engineered to cool the condenser. The condenser coil circulates a hot refrigerant from heat pulled from the compressed air. This hot refrigerant is then cooled by a cooling fan which circulates ambient air through the condenser coil radiator.

Rotary Screw Cooling Fan/Radiator

Our Rotary Screw compressors are equipped with a split bar radiator and a circulating fan. The fan cools the compressor oil and the air end air to the tank, reducing wear and tear and excessive moisture from the air system.

Hydro Cooling Fan/Radiator

Our unique Hydro water cooled Piston compressors are equipped with a split bar radiator and a circulating fan. The fan cools the water temperature/anti-freeze that cools the piston pump. The fan also cools the after cooler radiator and reduces excessive moisture from the air system.

Motor

These units have name brand OPD (open drip motors) on them, all of which carry a five-year warranty. All of our motors are low RPM (1750 rpm), versus the higher RPM motors (3450 RPM) used on many competitive units. 1750 RPM motors run much cooler than 3450 RPM motors, because of the higher torque factor. They also yield low harmonic distortion, provide much higher torque in cold weather starting and requiring less electricity under start up.

    The outstanding and quality products from Eaton Compressor can only be surpassed by the quality and integrity of those whom own and operate Eaton Compressor.
    My story is long, so I will highlight my experience as briefly as I can. I researched compressors and dryers for 2 months. I finally bought a 10 horse Polar Air Rotary Screw Compressor from Eaton Compressor. All American made and a great warranty at what I believe is a very good price!
    I got my compressor in, it looked as though it had a rough trip from the delivery company. It did. It had been dropped!
    I called Eaton and was put in touch with one of their lead techs Bert. He was ready to assist me on finding out if we could fix what was damaged during transit. I could not talk with Bert until after 6pm at night, this gentleman gave me his cell phone number to call him when I could. I called him and it was clear that he was at a game for one of his kids, yet he still took my call! In short, I needed another compressor. The next day on their day off Matt and Tina, the owners called me to let me know a new compressor was on it way. Wow! The next day I ordered my dryer!
    I have been in the Auto-body trade for 35 years and of that been a licensed and ordained minister for 22 years. In my years I have never met a company full of more integrity and honesty in my life!     Megan kept me informed of the shipping date after the order and shipped the compressor on a Thursday, we received it Friday, the next day! Great service!
    We got it installed the next morning and it greatly exceeds our expectations. Quiet, pumps a LOT of air, and I’m super glad we went with the variable speed motor. It seems very efficient and slows the whole unit down when there isn’t as much demand for air in the plant. As for performance, it filled our 120 gallon tank up in 1 minute and 5 seconds.
    If you’re thinking about purchasing this compressor, just do it. It will exceed your highest expectations.

    This machine is such a beast! After shopping various brands, numerous factors lead me to 20 HP Variable Speed Rotary Screw 120 Gal with Cooler and Dryer Polar Air by Eaton. This compressor has become the back bone to my custom cabinet shop that contains a paint booth, numerous air driven pocket screw machines, air driven hinge machine, air over edge band machine, air over wide belt sander, air over CNC and upwards to 5 DA sanders operating at a time. I was literally melting pistons in pairs of 5 HP 80 Gal stand up piston driven IR compressors. I needed more air to grow my business. Polar Air Customer service was 2nd to none, I was able to speak directly to a very knowledgeable sales woman, and then directly to Mr. Cain who answered all of my questions and outfitted me with the proper machine for my needs. After shopping various brands which require “Factory Certified” start up and maintenance, Polar Air’s maintenance/warranty schedule was a no brainier for me. They are so confident in their product, you buy a service kit from them once a year, your 10 year warranty is honored…too easy. I just completed my 600 hour break in service and it was so straight forward and easy. QUIET!!! Goodness this unit is so quiet for what it does. I would say it was no louder than a household blender. The control panel on this unit tracks all of your use and maintenance schedules. Since we are in a dusty cabinet shop, we added the prefilters to the compressor cabinet with excellent results. The cooler and dryer unit is a must in the humid South East and that has also improved my overall finished product, and is pushing much higher quality air into my expensive machines. I cannot say enough good things about not only the quality of this machine, but the quality of the air it produces. The company was an absolute pleasure to deal with and I would gladly recommend this product to any one that needs 80+ CFM of cool dry air to make a living with.
