This provides up to 90% energy savings over a fixed speed compressor.

Operation

Variable speed is also available while the unit is in pumping mode after reaching the full start up speed. A pressure transducer is mounted inside the air system and is connected to the PLC. The PLC is connected to the variable speed drive.

Variable frequency/variable speed drives vary the speed of the motor under start up.

Digital PSI Settings

When the pressure (PSI) range is digitally set by the user and when the low target pressure is met, for every PSI pound that increases above the low target PSI, it will cause the pump speed to slow down. For every PSI decrease, the pump speed will increase giving the customer precise on demand energy savings.
